Shares of United Natural Foods, Inc. UNFI rose sharply during Tuesday's session following better-than-expected first-quarter financial results and raised its FY25 guidance.
United Natural Foods posted adjusted earnings of 16 cents per share, compared to market estimates for a loss of 1 cent per share. The company's quarterly sales came in at $7.87 billion versus expectations of $7.61 billion.
United Natural Foods shares surged 29% to $31.82 on Tuesday.

- Ollie’s Bargain Outlet Holdings, Inc. OLLI jumped 14.7% to $111.48 after the company reported better-than-expected third-quarter financial results.
- MoneyLion Inc. ML gained 14.7% to $88.30 after the company announced an agreement to be acquired for $82 per share in cash for a total value of approximately $1 billion.
- Alaska Air Group, Inc. ALK rose 13.5% to $61.54 r after the company unveiled “Alaska Accelerate”, a strategy to boost profitability and its global footprint. Additionally, the company issued a strong FY25 outlook and plans for nonstop routes to Tokyo and Seoul from Seattle.
- Nebius Group N.V. NBIS gained 6.2% to $33.94.
- Super Group (SGHC) Limited SGHC rose 5.9% to $7.01. The company issued business update as 2024 closes.
- MakeMyTrip Limited MMYT climbed 5.5% to $121.32 after the company inked a Business Transfer Agreement to acquire the Happay Expense Management Platform from CRED for an undisclosed amount.
- Alphabet Inc. GOOGL gained 4.6% to $183.45.
