The quarterly deliveries compare to 157 commercial deliveries in the year-ago quarter.

The Arlington County, Virginia-based company delivered 13 commercial planes in November 2024, down from 56 a year ago and 14 in October 2024 due to production halts.

In January 2024, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) capped Boeing’s 737 MAX production at 38 monthly planes after a safety incident on an Alaska Airlines 737 MAX 9.

The 2024 annual deliveries of 348 surpassed RBC and consensus estimates of 325.

Boeing disclosed defense, space & security deliveries of 36 for the quarter and 112 for the year.

The stock plunged over 17% in the last 12 months and 49% in the previous five years as it grappled with safety issues, the pandemic, leadership overhauls, and more.

The company’s problems began in 2018 when a Boeing aircraft drowned in the sea off the coast of Indonesia.

In January 2024, a door panel flew off an Alaska Airlines plane manufactured by Boeing, prompting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to cap Boeing’s 737 MAX production at 38 planes monthly.

The 2020 pandemic further added to the crisis.

In July, Boeing tapped Kelly Ortberg as the CEO, succeeding Dave Calhoun, following two crashes of its 737 Max and the fleet’s subsequent grounding, safety incidents in 2024, a lawsuit against the company by the U.S. Department of Justice, and the deaths of two former employees labeled whistleblowers.

Boeing also recuperated from a seven-week strike in December, which affected its cash flow and the production of key aircraft models.

Price Action: BA shares are down 2.77% at $165.84 at the last check Tuesday.
