Shares of business consultancy, VCI Global Limited VCIG are taking off in premarket on Monday.
Through its subsidiary, AI Computing Center Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (AICC), the company is securing AI infrastructure from Super Micro Computer, Inc. SMCI.
This investment includes the acquisition of 64 Supermicro servers, each outfitted with NVIDIA Corp NVDA 512 NVIDIA H200 Tensor Core GPUs, designed to drive AICC's AI cloud operations.
AICC's $25 million investment represents a key development for the AI subsidiary. The purchase of advanced NVIDIA H200 GPUs aligns with AICC's plan to enhance its AI infrastructure.
The NVIDIA H200 GPUs, a key component of the Hopper family, are engineered to efficiently manage large AI workloads.
Featuring enhanced memory bandwidth and top-tier performance, these GPUs are well-suited for tasks like complex computations, natural language processing, and machine learning.

The H200 GPU builds on the success of the widely used H100 model, delivering 1.8 times more memory and 1.4 times greater bandwidth than its predecessor.
This improvement accelerates data processing by allowing the GPU to store more information internally, minimizing the need for slower external storage.
The company anticipates generating approximately $6 million in yearly revenue, which is expected to result in a 20% growth in earnings by 2026.
AICC’s inaugural AI computing center, located in Cyberjaya, Malaysia, is slated for launch in the second quarter of 2025.
VCI has recently secured a $100 million investment commitment from Alumni Capital LP, to bolster its AI business and advance renewable energy projects.
Of this total, $50 million is expected to be allocated to expanding AI operations to meet the increasing demand for AI-powered solutions.
Price Action: VCIG shares are trading higher by 23.3% at $1.47 in premarket at the last check Monday.
