Oracle Teams Up With Elon Musk's Starlink To Supercharge Global Enterprise Communication

Oracle Corporation ORCL shares are trading higher on Tuesday.

The tech giant has teamed up with Elon Musk’s Starlink, the largest satellite network globally, to improve connectivity for its Enterprise Communications Platform (ECP).

This alliance will aim to offer high-speed communication features to Oracle users, even in areas with limited traditional network coverage. Through this integration, Oracle ECP clients can access real-time video and audio streaming services from nearly any location.

The partnership ensures dependable global connectivity and provides smooth and secure cloud application delivery across over 100 countries and territories.

Oracle ECP unifies fixed, mobile, and Starlink networks to securely manage and ensure cloud application delivery in remote or previously poorly connected areas.

With its extensive cloud infrastructure, Oracle ECP supports various industry applications, spanning from healthcare to public safety. The addition of Starlink ensures that Oracle clients can maintain reliable connections for IoT devices, mobile apps, and video streaming.

For example, healthcare providers in rural regions can now use Oracle ECP and Starlink to access crucial clinical applications, improving patient care worldwide.

Public safety agencies, too, can stay connected even in the most isolated and disaster-prone areas, enhancing the safety and effectiveness of first responders.

Starlink’s satellite internet service now serves more than 4.6 million customers across 118 countries, territories, and other markets. In 2024, the company carried out 89 launches to expand its Starlink network and introduced its service to 27 new markets.

Its satellite constellation, which includes the ability to connect directly to LTE phones, now consists of almost 350 satellites. Overall, there are currently over 7,000 active Starlink satellites orbiting Earth.
