Shares of Philip Morris International Inc. PM rose sharply on Thursday after the company reported better-than-expected fourth-quarter financial results.
Philip Morris Intl reported quarterly earnings of $1.55 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $1.50 per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $9.71 billion which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $9.44 billion.
Philip Morris shares jumped 9.1% to $142.96 on Thursday.
