U.S. stocks traded mixed this morning, with the Dow Jones index falling around 100 points on Tuesday.
Following the market opening Tuesday, the Dow traded down 0.24% to 44,440.80 while the NASDAQ rose 0.26% to 20,078.31. The S&P 500 also rose, gaining, 0.11% to 6,121.11.

Information technology shares jumped by 0.7% on Tuesday.
In trading on Tuesday, consumer staples shares fell by 0.6%.

The NY Empire State Manufacturing Index rose by 18.3 points to a reading of +5.7 in February, topping market estimates of -1.
Equities Trading UP
- Healthcare Triangle Inc HCTI shares shot up 59% to $0.76.
- Shares of Kwesst Micro Systems Inc KWEgot a boost, surging 103% to $0.95.
- PainReform Ltd PRFX shares were also up, gaining 79% to $5.05 as the company executed definitive agreement to acquire DeepSolar.
Equities Trading DOWN
- Septerna Inc SEPN shares dropped 64% to $4.65 after the company announced the discontinuation of its Phase 1 trial of SEP-786 due to unanticipated Bilirubin events.
- Shares of Bio Path Holdings Inc BPTH were down 54% to $0.29.
- Petros Pharmaceuticals Inc PTPI was down, falling 51% to $0.14 after the company reported the pricing of $9.6 million public offering of common stock and warrants.

In commodity news, oil traded up 0.7% to $71.22 while gold traded up 1.2% at $2,936.80.
Silver traded up 0.9% to $33.135 on Tuesday, while copper fell 2.1% to $4.5655.

European shares were higher today. The eurozone's STOXX 600 rose 0.4%, Germany's DAX 40 rose 0.2% and France's CAC 40 rose 0.3%. Spain's IBEX 35 Index rose 0.6%, while London's FTSE 100 rose 0.1%.
Asia Pacific Markets
Asian markets closed mixed on Tuesday, with Japan's Nikkei 225 gaining 0.25%, China's Shanghai Composite Index falling 0.93%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index gaining 1.59% and India's BSE Sensex falling 0.04%.
