Coherent Launches New 793nm Chip For Medical And Industrial Uses

Laser technology provider Coherent Corp. COHR announced on Wednesday the launch of its 793nm pump laser diode, with 28W of reliable power and 97% polarization purity.

The 793nm diode is expected to make a major impact on the fast-growing Thulium fiber laser market.

The new diode is particularly useful in medical applications. By enhancing patient care, the technology provides safer, quicker, and more comfortable treatments.

Thulium fiber lasers, with their increasing use in medical applications, offer benefits such as shorter recovery times and a better treatment experience for patients.
