Argan Posts Upbeat Results, Joins KULR Technology, Abacus Global Management, W. R. Berkley And Other Big Stocks Moving Higher On Friday

U.S. stocks were lower, with the Dow Jones index falling around 200 points on Friday.

Shares of Argan, Inc. AGX rose sharply during Friday's session following a fourth-quarter EPS and revenue beat.

Argan reported quarterly earnings of $2.22 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $1.15 per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $232.474 million which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $197.500 million.

Argan shares jumped 29.6% to $149.39 on Friday.

  • W. R. Berkley Corporation WRB gained 14.2% to $75.70 after Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance announced that it is planning to acquire a 15% stake in the company.
  • Braze, Inc. BRZE shares rose 13% to $41.54 as the company posted better-than-expected fourth-quarter results after Thursday's closing bell.
  • CureVac N.V. CVAC gained 10.7% to $3.10 after the company announced it received a positive validity decision from the European Patent Office in its litigation against BioNTech SE.
  • Ascentage Pharma Group Internat AAPG gained 9.3% to $22.07.
  • Zai Lab Limited ZLAB rose 9.3% to $39.73.
