Sidus Space Inc SIDU has strengthened its collaboration with Lonestar Data Holdings, advancing a contract worth approximately $120 million.
The agreement defines the collaboration between parties to design, build, and provide on-orbit support for six lunar data storage spacecraft. This effort represents a major advancement in establishing space-based data preservation solutions.
Under this partnership, Sidus Space will leverage its LizzieSat platform to develop the spacecraft, which will function as secure and redundant storage hubs for essential mission data in deep space.

“This contract represents a pivotal step forward in our partnership with Lonestar, demonstrating our ability to scale the LizzieSat platform to meet diverse and mission-critical needs, including lunar missions,” said CEO of Sidus Space, Carol Craig.

As part of the contract, Sidus will manage multiple facets of the mission, including spacecraft design, payload integration, launch coordination, and on-orbit support.
Recently, Sidus posted a 22% decrease in its FY24 revenue to $4.7 million.
