U.S. stocks were mixed, with the Dow Jones index falling around 200 points on Friday.
Shares of VeriSign, Inc. VRSN rose sharply during Friday's session after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter financial results and raised its FY25 sales guidance above estimates.
VeriSign posted quarterly earnings of $2.10 per share, beating market estimates of $2.09 per share. The company's quarterly sales came in at $402.30 million versus expectations of $400.44 million.
VeriSign shares jumped 8.3% to $273.58 on Friday.

- SES AI Corporation SES shares jumped 26% to $1.1003 after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter EPS results and authorized a $30 million share repurchase program.
- Cantor Equity Partners, Inc. CEP gained 24% to $30.90. Shares of Cantor Equity Partners have surged 203% to $32.71 since Monday's open. The stock has skyrocketed this week amid announcing a merger with newly formed Bitcoin-focused firm Twenty One.
- HarborOne Bancorp, Inc. HONE rose 16% to $11.65. Eastern Bankshares and HarborOne Bancorp entered into a merger agreement.
- Canadian Solar Inc. CSIQ gained 15.6% to $10.73.
- Coursera, Inc. COUR rose 11.2% to $8.56 following better-than-expected quarterly results.
- Charter Communications, Inc. CHTR rose 9.6% to $367.44 after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter sales results.
- BigBear.ai Holdings, Inc. BBAI gained 9.2% to $3.1809.
- Liberty Broadband Corporation LBRDA gained 9% to $83.27.
- Encompass Health Corporation EHC rose 9% to $110.52 after Barclays raised its price target on the stock from $118 to $129.
- NETGEAR, Inc. NTGR rose 8% to $24.23.
- Sensient Technologies Corporation SXT shares gained 6.9% to $85.67 as the company posted upbeat first-quarter results and raised its earnings forecast.
- Tesla, Inc. TSLA gained 6.8% to $277.45.
- Select Medical Holdings Corporation SEM climbed 6% to $17.59.
- Comfort Systems USA, Inc. FIX rose 5.8% to $398.38 following better-than-expected first-quarter financial results and a quarterly dividend increase by $0.05 per share.
