J.P. Morgan reports that, with the Verizon (NYSE:
VZ) iPhone announcement imminent, “pricing will be an important topic.”
“On the Verizon network, we estimate that Apple's (NASDAQ:
AAPL) iPhone could cost $20-30 more than similar iPhone models at AT&T,” J.P. Morgan writes. “The key differentiator is the cost of CDMA-related components. While the acquisition price of the iPhone could be slightly more expensive for subscribers on Verizon, we think that there will be offsets, specifically network performance.”
Apple closed Friday at $336.12; Verizon closed at $35.93.
