Piper Jaffray is maintaining its estimates on shares of Moody's Corp. MCO and The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc. MHP.
“Based on the strength in May issuance, we see a positive bias to estimate revisions going into the 2Q reporting period,” Piper Jaffray writes. “However, given a more challenging June comparison, we'll wait to see next month's results in five weeks before revisiting our numbers.
“Our 2011/2012 EPS estimates for MCO are $2.34/$2.65 (up 18%/14%) and $2.91/$3.25 (up 9%/12%) for MHP.”
Moody's closed Friday at $39.43; McGraw-Hill closed at $41.18.
