J.M. Smucker SJM, the branded food products company which is maker of jellies, coffee and other food products, released its earnings for its fourth fiscal quarter.
The performance beat the analysts’ estimates by a wide margin. Net income increased from 80 cents a share in the quarter a year ago to $1.01 a share in fourth fiscal quarter and stands at $120.6 million. Without restructuring costs the net income stood at $1.07 per share.
According to Barron’s, the analysts’ estimate was 80 cents per share. Sales stood at $1.07 billion, an increase of 0.1% compared to previous year.
