S&P Pares Rating On NYSE Euronext

Standard & Poor's cut its credit rating on NYSE Euronext NYX, operator of the New York Stock Exchange to "A+/A-1" from "AA-/A-1+," citing the bourse operator's debt load. The rating is still investment grade. The ratings agency called NYSE Euronext's debt load "moderately heavy." S&P has a stable outlook on NYSE Euronext, but added it could lower the ratings again if there is a material deterioration in cash flows and debt-servicing metrics or if management pursues more-aggressive financial practices or risk-management policies, according to the Associated Press.
