Gilford Securities is out with a research report this afternoon, where it reiterates its Buy rating on Lamar Advertising Co. LAMR; it did not provide a price target for the stock.
The GS analysts noted that that, with local advertising finally positive in Q4E, LAMR's revenue rebound has now seen both occupancy and ad rates up for the first time in a while.
That is why LAMR is returning to aggressive, lucrative digital transition in 2011. It has placed orders that start the 280-300 digital units for ‘11E. They added, “If LAMR converts the low end of the 280-300 units from static to digital, that is roughly 23 units per 30 day month.”
Lamar Advertising Company is an outdoor advertising company. It sells advertising on billboards, buses, shelters, benches and logo plates. Lamar Advertising operates three types of outdoor advertising displays: billboards, logo signs and transit advertising displays.
