UPDATE: Jefferies Color On BLL Stock Split

Jefferies, which lowered its PT on shares of Ball Corporation BLL to reflect the 2-for-1 stock split, is providing some color on the stock. “We are adjusting its 2011 ($5.67 to $2.83) and 2012 ($6.27 to $3.13) EPS estimates to reflect the 2-for-1 stock split,” Jefferies writes. “Our view on the company remains positive, and we are encouraged by the growth trends in the global beverage can industry. “While shares have outperformed, we continue to believe there is good momentum, with earnings poised to accelerate from new growth projects, share gains in N.A. bev cans, and contribution from Aerocan and Neuman.” Ball Corporation currently trades at $37.00.
