Dahlman Rose Reiterates Hold Rating on Nucor Corp. (NUE)

Dahlman Rose is out with a research report this morning, where it reiterates its Hold rating on Nucor Corp. NUE.

The DR analysts cited the company's recent mid-quarter earnings update, where Nucor provided 1Q11 EPS guidance of $0.30 - $0.35, above their estimate of $0.15 and in line with the consensus estimate.

As for valuation, the analysts remarked, “We are increasing our 1Q11 EPS to $0.35 from $0.15 based on higher forecasted average realized prices for the quarter. We are maintaining our full year 2011 and 2012 EPS estimates of $3.10 and $5.00, respectively, as we are upholding our full year steel product price and cost forecasts for the company.”
