Deutsche Bank Predicts 13.0MM SAAR In March (GM, F) Deutsche Bank has reported an anticipated 13.0MM SAAR for U.S. light vehicles in March. Deutsche Bank writes, "Based on our 20-day channel checks, we estimate that the U.S. light vehicle SAAR is tracking at 13.0MM units in March (+12.2% YOY on a unit sales basis, selling day adjusted); compared to Mar '10 of 11.8MM. We expect a Q1 U.S. SAAR of 13.0MM, a sequential improvement of 600k vs. the Q4 SAAR of 12.4MM. Assuming that this pace of improvement can be sustained (note that Q4 rose by 650k vs. Q3), the 2011 U.S. SAAR could reach ~13.9MM; well ahead of our 13.0MM forecast." General Motors GM has a Buy Rating and a $45 PT. GM closed at $31.28 yesterday. Ford Motor Company (NYSE" F) has a Buy Rating and a $19.50 PT. Ford closed at $14.59 yesterday.
