Benchmark provided color on Orbitz Worldwide OWW after the company achieved a court victory over American Airlines AMR.
In a research report published today, Benchmark states, "On June 1, 2011, an Illinois court granted injunctive relief to Orbitz (OWW-Hold, PT
$3) and Travelport, requiring American Airlines to reinstate all content on Orbitz'
websites until the outstanding legal case between American and Orbitz is resolved.
While the temporary victory could add a slight boost to near-term results, any
benefit may get overshadowed by ongoing investment spending on global platform
migration and a step-up in marketing."
At the moment, Benchmark has a Hold rating and a price target of $3 placed on the company's stock. On Monday, Orbitz added 2.19% to its value to close the day at $2.33.
