Goldman Sachs provided color on the software sector. In a research report, Goldman reiterated its Neutral rating on the industry, as well as highlighted its best picks.

Neutral coverage view…
We are most bullish on
Buy-rated Salesforce.com, VMware, and
Oracle, while we are least constructive on Adobe,
which we rate as a Sell relative to our coverage
universe.”
On Monday, Salesforce CRM lost 2.71% of its value to finish the day at $152.43, while Adobe ADBE lost 1.78% of its value to end the day at $30.98. At the same time, VMware VMW lost 2.73% of its value to end the day at $102.13. Its shares continued to slide in today's pre-market trading, falling 1.84% to stand around $100.25. Finally, Oracle lost 2.18% of its value on Monday to end the day at $33.14. Its shares continued to slide in today's pre-market trading, falling 0.42% to $30.
