This year’s projections for cryptocurrency are audaciously bullish, with Bitcoin BTC/USD being the center of attention, and it’s just in time for Benzinga's Future of Digital Assets event on Nov. 14 in New York City.
Several industry leaders, including Tom Lee at Fundstrat and Cathie Wood of Ark Invest, shared some optimistic predictions on the flagship digital asset’s future trajectory.
Lee highlighted Bitcoin’s resilience, particularly amid this year’s regulatory challenges in a recent CNBC interview. He projects a potential surge beyond the $200,000 level.
Underlining Lee’s sentiments, titans like BlackRock Inc BLK and Citadel are expressing Bitcoin interests, signaling growing mainstream adoption.
But Lee isn’t alone in his bullish stance. Wood, the driving force behind Ark Invest's ARK Innovation ETF ARKK and others, has repeatedly voiced her conviction about Bitcoin’s potential to touch $1 million within the next seven years.

Her optimism is fueled, in part, by the limited supply of Bitcoin and growing institutional demand. Wood suggests a pivotal role for Bitcoin ETFs, positing that the SEC’s potential approval could skyrocket demand.
On the altcoin front, crypto strategist Michaël van de Poppe has his eyes set on the optimal investment window. He noted that the best time to buy altcoins might be 8 to 10 months before Bitcoin’s halving, alluding to historical data that suggests a bullish surge during that timeframe.
However, as we inch closer to Bitcoin’s anticipated halving in April 2024, Caitlin Long at Custodia Bank points to another cycle — the consolidation of miners. She believes a consolidation, followed by a subsequent bull market, could pave the way for widespread crypto adoption.
While 2023 remains a transformative year for the crypto market, predictions backed by industry experts hint at an even brighter future for digital assets.
