Tim Cook Kicked Off iPad Event By Hyping Up Apple Vision Pro, Top Analyst Says It's 'Just A Reminder' While Jim Cramer Says 'It's Not A Bust'

Apple Inc. AAPL CEO Tim Cook’s repeated emphasis on Vision Pro during public events has been highlighted by Deepwater Asset Management's Gene Munster, as Cupertino launched new iPads on Tuesday after a gap of 18 months.

What Happened: On Tuesday, Munster took to X, formerly Twitter, to point out that Cook has started his public remarks with a focus on Vision Pro for the fourth consecutive time.

This pattern was observed at the September iPhone event, the December 2023 earnings call, the March 2024 earnings call, and now at the recent iPad event, noted Munster.

According to the Apple bull, this was another reminder from Cupertino that Apple is "all in" on the Vision Pro.

"There are no announcements on Vision Pro today, just a reminder that Apple wants the world to know they’re all in on Vision Pro."

However, "Mad Money" host Jim Cramer expressed his optimism about Apple Vision Pro's potential, especially among business-to-business customers like Fortune 100 companies.

"The Vision Pro was never a bust. It will be bigger as a B-to-B than consumer product initially."

Why It Matters: Apple's first-ever mixed reality headset, Vision Pro, has been a topic of discussion in recent months. The product has received praise from OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, who called it the “second most impressive tech since the iPhone”.

However, the Vision Pro has also faced challenges. Reports surfaced in April that Apple had cut its Vision Pro shipment forecasts by nearly 50% due to a significant drop in demand.

Price Action: Apple’s shares closed 0.38% up at $182.40 on Tuesday, according to Benzinga Pro.
