General Electric GE reported earnings of 33 cents per share on revenues of $38.4 billion. This compared to Wall Street estimates of 28 cents per share on revenues of $34.64 billion.
Dupont DD reported EPS of $1.52 vs $1.36 estimate.
Travelers TRV reported $1.89 vs $1.51 estimate while raising its dividend to $0.44.
McDonald's MCD reported earnings of $1.15 per share on revenues of $6.1 billion. Wall Street expected earnings of $1.14 per share on revenues of $6.0 billion.
Diamond Offshore DO reported earnings of $1.80 per share on revenues of $806.4 million. This compares to Wall Street estimates of $1.41 per share on revenues of $794.7 million.
Morgan Stanley MS reported earnings of 46 cents per share on $7.64 billion in revenues, whereas Wall Street expected earnings of 34 cents per share on $7.73 billion in revenues.
Verizon VZ reported another strong quarter, reporting earnings of 51 cents per share on $26.99 billion in revenues. This compared to Wall Street estimates of 50 cents per share on $26.9 billion in revenues.
Finally, Blackrock BLK reported Q1 EPS of $2.96 vs. $2.77 estimate.
