GE At Session Highs On Quotes From Shareholder Meeting (GE)

Shares of General Electric GE are up nearly 3% today, and are near session highs after the company made bullish comments about the economy, CEO's outlook, and the company in general. During the annual shareholder meeting, GE said that that the company has the best earnings outlook in 10 years, and the "global economy getting better every day." The company also said that "our growth is going to be good this year," and that it expects M&A activity to pick up this year, which we are starting to see. The Conneticut-based company said it sees this as a "sign of confidence" by CEO's. The company also committed to continue growing the company's dividend, which is now around 2.8%. At last check, shares were up 55 cents to $20.65, a gain of 2.7%.
