European Union regulators are investigating 16 banks on antitrust concerns over credit default swaps. Goldman Sachs GS and J.P. Morgan JPM are among the banks being investigated. China's yuan CYB moved past 6.50 per dollar today, as speculation comes that Beijing will continue to let the currency strengthen quickly to avoid inflation. Chrysler said it will pay back $7.5 billion in loans to the U.S. government because they are now “redundant and unnecessary.”
