By 11:35 am, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 19.67 points, or 0.16%, to 12,610.36, while the broader Standard & Poor's 500 index had dropped 0.51 point, or 0.04%. The NASDAQ composite index gained 3.38 points, or 0.12%.
Some of the narrow based indexes that are supporting the markets are Geothermal Stocks, which have gained 2.9%, Chinese Auto Parts Stocks, up 2.4%, and Confectioners and Sugar Stocks, moving 1.0% higher as a group.
In Tickerspy's Geothermal complex, Nevada Geothermal Power Inc NGLPF had surged 3.5%. NGLPF's trailing-twelve-month operating margin is 21.78%.
The best performing Tickerspy Chinese Auto Parts stock has been SORL Auto Parts Inc SORL, which was up 7.3%. SORL is scheduled to report its Q1 results on May 16.
Imperial Sugar Company IPSU is today's leading Tickerspy's Confectioners and Sugar stock, gaining 4.8%. IPSU swung to a second-quarter profit, from a loss in the year-ago quarter.
