Credit Agricole SA CRARY released its results for the first quarter on Friday.
The group's quarterly net profit surged to 1 billion euros ($1.42 billion), from 470 million euros. Its revenue rose 10% to 5.3 billion euros. However, analysts were expecting a net profit of 1.03 billion euros.
CRARY shares gained 2.85% to close at $7.94 yesterday.
