AmerisourceBergen Corp. (ABC), world's largest pharmaceutical services companies, said it's increasing its quarterly dividend by 15% to 11.5 cents a share from 10 cents a share. R. David Yost, AmerisourceBergen Chief Executive Officer, said, “We are pleased to increase our dividend for the second time this fiscal year, demonstrating our continued confidence in delivering long-term shareholder value.” The quarterly dividend of $0.115 per common share will be payable June 6, 2011, to stockholders of record at the close of business on May 24, 2011.
Total SA (TOT) agreed with Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) to seek shale gas in the Chelm and Werbkowice areas in Poland. Under the terms of the agreement, ExxonMobil and Total will form a partnership operated by ExxonMobil, which retains a 51% interest. “The entry into these concessions reflects Total's commitment to expanding activities in unconventional gas, notably in Europe, a growth segment of the group,” Total said in the statement.
Shares of Nvidia Corp. (NVDA), a maker of graphics chips, fell as company fiscal first-quarter profit down 1.7% on lower revenue, Shares slipped 3% to $19.88 in after-hours trading. Nvidia President and Chief Executive Jen-Hsun Huang said during a conference call that he still expects Nvidia's graphics business and the overall market to grow, with strong demand from China. He said the workstation business should rise as Nvidia introduces new capabilities and works closer with large enterprises to drive adoption of its Tesla chip in supercomputing workstations and servers.
