Anadarko Petroleum Up 5% On BP News

Anadarko Petroleum Corporation APC shares are jumping this morning, gaining more than 5% after news hit this morning that BP BP would be settling with Mitsui to pay over $1 billion in cleanup costs from the Maconodo well. Mitsui agreed to pay $1.065 billion, and this will resolve all claims against Mitsui. At last check, shares of Anadarko were up $4.16 to $75.80, a gain of 5.8% in pre-market trading.
