International Public Bid for Tulum Airport in the Mayan Riviera is Declared Void

Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste, S.A.B. de C.V. ASR the first privatized airport group in Mexico and operator of Cancun Airport and eight others in the southeast of Mexico, announced that on May 20, 2011 the company was notified by the Ministry of Communications and Transportation, through the Mexican Civil Aviation Authority, that the international public bidding process for the construction, operation and management of an international airport in the town of Tulum in the Mayan Riviera region was declared void. The SCT notified ASUR that the bidding process was declared void because none of the technical bids presented by the participants complied with the requirements established in the bidding documents. As a result, the economic proposals will not be opened and will be returned to the bidding participants.
