Skype Is Currently Down; Statement Says Problem Is Being Investigated

Skype has crashed this morning, and it has apparently crashed worldwide. One week after the purchase by Microsoft MSFT, Skype is down, with some internet rumors claiming that the issue is company-wide. Skype sent out a statement on Twitter to say that, “Some of you may have problems signing in to Skype and making calls. We're investigating and hope to have more details to share soon.” Skype released "technical instructions to fix the current Skype issue affecting a small number of users", which can be found here.
