Shares of AT&T Inc. T are trading lower on the session by 0.75%, at $30.42. With shares breeching the 50-day moving average, you have to wonder where they are heading next…
Bulls: Bulls will note that the $30.10 level is major near-term support; this became a resistance come support level when shares rocketed above the level in April on high volume.
Bulls will also note that the 200-day moving average remains upward-sloping. AT&T Inc. is also entering oversold territory.
A bullish trader could buy the July $31/29 risk reversal for even money.
Bears: Bears will note that the 20-day moving average is downward sloping and that the 50-day is in danger of tipping that direction as well. If AT&T Inc. were to break down through the $30.10-$30.00 support level, shares would have a medium-term price target of $28.00.
Bears will also note that the 200-day moving average, while upward trending, is trading all the way down at $29.00, which means that shares could be sucked lower just on mean-reversion.
A bearish trader could buy the July $30/28 put spread for a net debit of $0.55.
