HP Awarded Contract by U.S. Air Force for Printers, Supplies and Services

HP HPQ today announced it has been competitively awarded a purchase agreement by the U.S. Air Force. As part of the USAF Information Technology Commodity Council Semi-Annual Enterprise Buy for Digital Printing and Imaging capabilities (DPI-10B), which is a blanket purchase agreement utilized by the USAF for the procurement of IT products and services, HP will provide a variety of HP printers and multifunction printers. Under the terms of the DPI-10B contract, the printers and MFPs will include pre-installed, value-added capabilities such as the HP Universal Print Driver, USAF-approved security settings and use of a Common Access Card Reader to support authorized use and more secure operations. The agreement also includes provisions for HP Original Toner, installation services and a four-year Care Pack warranty that includes enhanced technical support. The USAF selected HP to meet its goals for modernizing, standardizing and consolidating its imaging and printing fleet, lowering overall operational costs and minimizing environmental impact, including a significant reduction in paper consumption, all while improving device and network security. The devices are available today on AFWay, the USAF's portal for the purchase of IT hardware, software and services that provides users with leveraged buying power, asset tracking and oversight.
