Acuity Brands Awarded Premier Healthcare Alliance Contract

Acuity Brands AYI has announced it has received a 3-year contract to supply luminaires and lighting solutions to Premier Purchasing Partners, L.P., the group-purchasing unit of the Premier healthcare alliance (“Premier”). Premier is a collaborative alliance of healthcare facilities with an aim of improving community health through high-quality and cost-effective services. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. Acuity Brands' broad portfolio of energy-efficient luminaires, intelligent control systems, and daylighting solutions, which now includes the specialized lighting portfolio of recently acquired Healthcare Lighting, will help enable Premier to meet sustainability objectives for their members in new construction, renovation and relighting applications, while providing the highest quality illumination for the wide variety of tasks in the facilities owned, leased or managed by their members. “We are very pleased to enter into this 3-year agreement to supply our industry-leading lighting solutions to Premier,” said San Dodgen, Acuity Brands Lighting Vice President of Corporate Accounts. “Our broad portfolio of general purpose and specialized healthcare lighting solutions for ambient, task and facility lighting, including patient and examination rooms, surgical suites and medical procedure rooms, enables an energy-efficient, robust set of lighting applications for the demanding healthcare market,” Dodgen continued.
