Morgan Stanley Provides Color on American Tower Corporation, Overweight

Morgan Stanley provided color on American Tower Corporation AMT. In a research report published today, Morgan Stanley stressed its optimism about the company's stock performance. In the report, Morgan Stanley states, "We believe the share price will rise in absolute terms over the next 60 days... there are four near-term catalysts to the upside: (1) The debate should return to the fundamentals with 2Q earnings in early Aug; (2) Also with earnings, Sprint should provide a more detailed timeline for network vision market launches, which could suggest further upside to leasing activity in 2012; (3) Disclosure in the 10-Q should mitigate uncertainty surrounding the SEC request; (4) Buybacks represent a degree of downside protection." At the moment, Morgan Stanley has an Overweight rating placed on the company's shares. On Thursday, American Tower lost 0.6% to close the day at $49.85.
