American Water Increases Quarterly Dividend from $0.22 to $0.23

American Water Works Company, Inc. AWK announced today that its Board of Directors increased its quarterly cash dividend payment by five percent from $0.22 to $0.23 per share. The regular quarterly cash dividend is payable on September 1, 2011 to all shareholders of record as of August 12, 2011.
