Primoris Services Corporation Announces New Contracts Valued at Approximately $100 Million

Primoris Services Corporation PRIM today announced new contracts valued at approximately $100 million for infrastructure and energy projects in California and Texas. Primoris's Baton Rouge, Louisiana-based subsidiary, James Construction Group, was awarded a contract valued at approximately $43 million for the construction of a new bypass highway for the City of Copperas Cove, Texas. The work scope includes 1.2 million cubic yards of embankment and the construction of 8 new bridges. Work is expected to commence in the third quarter of 2011 and be completed over the next two years. Primoris's California-based subsidiary, ARB, Inc., has been awarded contracts with a combined value of $30 million by three of the state's major utility companies. Each of these projects started in the second quarter of 2011 and should be completed by the end of the year. One of the more distinctive projects involves the repair and reconstruction of the Lower Tule River Flume, which is associated with the Lower Tule Powerhouse, a renewable energy hydroelectric generating facility that serves one of the largest irrigation districts in California. The flume was damaged by fire in September 2009. This project will require the environmentally sensitive construction of approximately 3,030 linear feet of a fire-resistant, water conveyance structure through the Sequoia National Forest work area.
