Spreadtrum Communications Soaring Nearly 10%

Spreadtrum Communications, Inc SPRD shares are soaring today, gaining almost 10% today, to tack on gains from yesterday. The company has been in the new recently, as Muddy Waters initially produced a negative research report on the company, then later essentially retracted the comments the research firm made about the Chinese semiconductor company. At last check, shares of SPRD were up $1.67 to $17.43, a gain of 10.6% on 540,000 shares.
