The U.S. International Trade Commission essentially shot down a case by Eastman Kodak Co. EK, saying Apple AAPL and Research in Motion RIMM did not infringe on patents from Eastman Kodak. Maybe they should have called Bill Cosby. He would've known what to do. Apple Inc. AAPL, along with Microsoft Corp. MSFT and Research in Motion Ltd. RIMM outbid Google Inc. GOOG for a patent portfolio from Nortel Networks Corp. The conglomerate paid $4.5 billion for the patents. Apple's portion of the patents will be called the iWinuLose. Carl Icahn announced he has a 9.5% stake in Oshkosh Corporation OSK, and the stock soared today. B'gosh, that's a lot of Oshkosh.
