Cost Plus Announces the Appointment of Kenneth T. Stevens as the Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of Cost Plus, Inc. CPWM announced that Kenneth T. Stevens succeeded Joseph H. Coulombe as non-executive Chairman of Cost Plus, Inc. at the conclusion of Mr. Coulombe's term which coincided with the Company's Annual Meeting of Shareholders that was held on June 23, 2011. In March 2005, the Board instituted a process under which the office of the non-executive Chairman would rotate amongst its members. President and Chief Executive Officer Barry Feld commented, “On behalf of the entire Board, we would like to thank Joe for his excellent service as the non-executive Chairman during a pivotal year in which the Company successfully completed its turnaround and returned to profitability. We are pleased that Joe will remain on the Board and continue to provide his insight and guidance.”
