Dahlman Rose & Co. has published a report on JB Hunt JBHT that showed that the company slightly outperformed expectations.
In the report, Dahlman Rose wrote, "JB Hunt met expectations for the second quarter with earnings per share of $0.53, directly in line with both the Street consensus and our estimates. Consolidated revenues for the quarter grew 22% from 2Q10 and came in at $1.15 Bn, beating the consensus $1.11 Bn, as well as our estimate of $1.06 Bn. Operating income rose 24% to $113 MM off of a $17 MM increase (29%) in Intermodal and $5 MM (23%) in the Dedicated Contract Services and Integrated Capacity Solutions segments combined." The report also stated that Dahlman Rose is fine-tuning its estimates of JB Hunt's earnings per share up a bit.
Dahlman Rose rated JB Hunt a BUY with a price target of $51.00. JB Hunt closed Thursday at $47.71
