Stocks Slip as Investors Show Caution

(TheStreet) -- Stocks retreated Wednesday as investors showed caution after the previous session's strong gains. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was scaling back after closing Tuesday's session up by 202 points or 1.6% -- its highest point and percentage gain since Dec. 1, 2010 -- down by 21 points, or 0.2%, at 12,567. The S&P 500 was lower by 1 point, or 0.09%, at 1326, and the Nasdaq was off by 17 points, or 0.6%, at 2809.
