AICUP Signs Five-year Agreement Endorsing Constellation Energy as Preferred Energy Provider to Association Members

Constellation Energy CEG today announced that the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities has extended its current contract with Constellation through Dec. 31, 2018. The agreement represents a five-year extension of Constellation's existing contracts to serve as an electricity supplier to the approximately 87 educational institutions. “These agreements give AICUP members the opportunity to lock in a cost-effective, reliable power supply over the long term, which will help them manage power costs more effectively,” said Brian S. Weatherford, Constellation Energy's vice president, Mid-Atlantic Region. “Our broad portfolio of energy products and services – including efficiency solutions and the option to purchase energy from renewable sources –is a vital component of our competitive advantage, allowing us to customize power supply contracts and help customers meet both their economic and environmental goals.”
