Merle A. Hinrichs Transitions to Executive Chairman of Global Sources and Spenser Au Assumes CEO role

Global Sources GSOL announced earlier that the board of directors approved the transition of CEO Merle A. Hinrichs into a new role as Executive Chairman of the Board, overseeing the company's mergers and acquisitions as well as investor relations functions. As part of the change, Spenser Au assumes the role of Chief Executive Officer. Both positions are effective August 18, 2011.
