Williams-Sonoma reported its quarterly profit at $39.3 million, or $0.37 per share, up from $30.8 million, or $0.28 per share, in the year-ago quarter. Its adjusted earnings came in at $0.37 per share. Williams-Sonoma's revenue climbed to $814.8 million from $775.6 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.36 per share on revenue of $822.8 million.
Williams-Sonoma lifted its adjusted-earnings outlook for the year to a range of $2.17 to $2.22 per share, versus analysts' estimates of $2.22 per share.
Williams-Sonoma shares gained 3.98% to close at $30.03 yesterday.
