Glencore Reports Strong Rise In First-Half Net Income Per Share

Glencore International PLC GLCNF reported a strong rise in its first-half net income per share. Glencore reported its earnings at $0.57 per share, up from $0.29 per share, in the year-ago period. Its adjusted earnings came in at $0.56 per share. Glencore's revenue surged to $92.12 billion from $70.01 billion. Glencore's board declared an initial dividend of 5 cents per share. Glencore shares climbed 6.04% to close at $6.50 yesterday.
