Does Strauss-Kahn's Wife Get A Buzz Off His Cheating?

There are a lot of people who should probably apologize to Dominique Strauss-Kahn, people who forgot that American law is built on the principal of “innocent until proven guilty”. Strauss-Kahn probably isn't guilty of rape, or even sexual assault. His alleged victim, as we all know now, turned out to be a serial liar. One person who definitely doesn't need to apologize to Strauss-Kahn is his wife, Anne Sinclair. The long-suffering spouse has stood at her husband's side through a string of infidelities (consensual infidelities, that is). Not only that, she has financed much of his bad behavior. All of which draws the question, is she actually suffering at all? Writing for the Sunday Times in the UK, psychoanalyst Jacques-Alain Miller said that, "The wife of a ladies' man does not stay with him despite his infidelities, but because of them. She is proud of the phallic power of her spouse." The man who was described as like “a rutting chimpanzee” by another alleged victim, doesn't seem to know how to keep little Dominique in his house, but then why should he when his wife says things like, "I am rather proud of it [his reputation as a seducer]. As long as I seduce him and he seduces me, then that is enough for me." That is an odd thing to say, and many would guess that she is simply trying to cover up the humiliation and sorrow she feels, knowing that her husband will probably always be a cheat.
