LAN Airlines August Traffic +14.1%

LAN Airlines S.A. and its subsidiaries LFL today reported its preliminary monthly traffic statistics and punctuality indicators for August 2011. During August, system passenger traffic increased 14.1% as capacity rose 12.7%. As a result, the Company's load factor for the month increased 0.9 points to 78.7%. International passenger traffic accounted for approximately 67.9% of total passenger traffic. Starting in January 2011, these figures include AIRES' domestic and international operations.
