BAE Systems received a $21.9 million contract award from the U.S. Marine Corps for ongoing maintenance, updates and repairs to Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles. The award will be used to expand the universal MRAP maintenance workforce in Afghanistan supporting Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). “Protecting the lives of our brave young men and women is something we take very seriously and expanding our labor force will aid in soldiers' and Marines' safety and success abroad,” said Robert Houston, vice president of Support and Technical Services at BAE Systems.
