KDDI Reports 4.8% Rise In FQ2 Net Profit

KDDI Corp KDDIY reported a 4.8% rise its net profit for the three months through September. KDDI's net profit for the fiscal second quarter surged to Y68.19 billion, from Y65.05 billion, in the year-ago period. Its operating profit climbed 6.8% to Y126.65 billion, while revenue gained 3.0% to Y878.32 billion from Y852.42 billion. For this fiscal year, KDDI projects a 2% drop in its net profit, a 0.7% rise in its operating profit and a 0.7% rise in its revenue. KDDI shares gained 2.34% to close at $18.35 on Friday.
